Loan collection software for Sri Lankan field lenders

Small-enterprise lending in Sri Lanka often looks familiar to South Indian operators: close borrower relationships, field visits and weekly or monthly repayments. Vasool Raja can be set up for a Sri Lankan company so those records are kept in rupees on Sri Lanka time.

Company setup for Sri Lanka

When you create a company for Sri Lanka, it uses LKR (shown as Rs), the Asia/Colombo time zone and the +94 calling code for phone numbers. Business dates follow local time, so the collection day starts and closes on your calendar.

The app interface is available in English, Hindi and Tamil. Tamil-speaking teams can work in Tamil; there is no Sinhala interface at present.

Collection models you will recognise

Field lenders in Sri Lanka commonly run weekly or monthly repayment schedules. You can set up daily, weekly, monthly and monthly-interest lines, assign field agents to each one and record each payment and its payment mode against the loan.

  • Original disbursement and every actual repayment recorded
  • Remaining principal kept separate from interest and fees
  • Collection method and collector captured per payment

Same time zone, different rules

Sri Lanka shares UTC+05:30 with India, but that is where the similarity ends. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka supervises licensed microfinance companies under the Microfinance Act No. 6 of 2016, and licensed finance companies sit in their own category. Do not reuse an Indian interest convention or loan document just because the field work looks the same.

Vasool Raja is record-management software and does not provide loans or financial services. It does not grant a licence or confirm that your product is permitted. Check licensing and product rules with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka or a local advisor; this page is not legal advice.

Daily close and review

Each day ends with a combined tally of cash and bank balance against the expected total, with explained adjustments and optional approval. Portfolio health, overdue drilldowns and profitability reports help you review the book weekly.
